MISSIONARY CHURCHES ON THE MOVE

Meeting the local challenge and seizing the opportunity for the region

In Angers, at the heart of the “white zone”

The Centre for church planting would be located in the heart of the white zone, in Angers.
Recent laws left our church with a building deemed unfit for public gathering, but our missionary heartbeat is to re-plant a visible church, with a meeting place adapted to continue our church planting vision.
Our local church, Église Vie Nouvelle Angers is a member of the Union Nationale des Assemblées de Dieu de France, UNADF, which is itself a member of the Conseil National des Évangeliques de France, CNEF.
We believe that today we have an opportunity to enter a new phase of growth for sharing the gospel in the city of Angers, in the region, and beyond. Our project is focused on this vision.
As a local church, we are facing a financial challenge. We need to raise a further 600 000€ on a 3.2M€ project.

It would be possible to stretch this out long term – but given the spiritual needs of our region, waiting five or ten years is not an option.
Our local church of 200 members is facing a huge building challenge in Angers. Moreover we need help to launch the Vision Ouest 2033 project in the white zone with our sister churches in Saumur and Cholet.

THE CONCENTRIC MISSION

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes into your life. You will tell about Me in the city of Jerusalem and over all the countries of Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1.8 (NET)

THE CITY

Since the closure of our former church building, no evangelical church building has the capacity to regularly welcome over 200 people. Our project aims to provide Angers with a place of worship better adapted to the size of the city. Hand-in-hand with the development of a multi- site church in the city, is our vision for the metropole which comprises more than a third of the population of the administrative department (300.000 people).

THE DEPARTMENT

From Angers, churches have been planted in Cholet (60 km) and Saumur (50 km), and from Saumur, in Thouars and Loudun (both 30 km from Saumur).
Our vision is to continue this missionary movement in our department and beyond.

THE WHITE ZONE

Opening a centre for church planting is a priority - to provide the churches of the region with the means to pursue a new phase of mission. Our churches are few in number and are not big or solid enough to carry this project alone. We are lacking in the human resources and financial means to make a significant impact in the next ten years.

We need the help of others.
